Description: EjiroOghene “Jyro” Asagba is an award-winning performer, producer, and pastry chef redefining creativity on screen and stage. Her determination to find a place in Nigeria’s entertainment industry as a creative from Ibadan who often had to travel to Lagos to prove herself inspired the birth of JJ Classics Production in 2022, one of Ibadan’s leading theatre companies. Through it, Jyro has created jobs for numerous young creatives and pioneered the first-ever audience train mobilization from Lagos and Abeokuta to Ibadan for a stage play. She is known for acclaimed productions such as Eclipsed, The Marriage of Anansewa, and SanKara. With a B.A. in Theatre Arts and a Distinction in Musical Theatre from the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA), she brings boldness to African storytelling and continues to position Ibadan as a hub for Nigerian theatre.
