Description: Funmilayo Oyekanmi is a lawyer-in-equity, social entrepreneur, project manager, and an award-winning development advocate. She is passionate about driving socio-economic development in Africa through research, policy, and innovation. She has acquired 2+ years of experience designing and implementing business and social impact projects. She has also worked with national and international non-profits in 4 African countries to address social inequality, tackle gender-based violence, and drive financial inclusion. She is the founder of Human and Social Sustainability Network (HSSN) Africa. Through her social enterprise, she is upskilling African youths and connecting them to job opportunities, educating African girls to reduce multidimensional poverty, and advocating for systemic change and social justice. She previously served as a Youth Advisor to the European Union Delegation to Nigeria and ECOWAS for a 3-year term and has received a 25 under 25 Impact Maker award from the Future Forward Female Movement. She has also been recognized by notable institutions such as AIESEC, Unite 2030, and YALI Nigeria, and awarded scholarships by UTIVA and the Africa Leadership Institute (ALI) for her exceptional leadership qualities.
