After training at the “Spalon Healing Hands Institute,” she founded “Vivian the Masseuse” at 22, offering mobile massage services. Tailoring each session to individual needs, she fosters wellness beyond physical relief. Revered in her community for her empathetic approach, Vivian, at 25, sees her future brimming with opportunities to heal and promote happiness through touch.

- What inspired you to become a massage therapist, and how did you develop your passion for this field?
I fell in love with assisting people when I was very young. I was the one who would always give friends and family a consoling hug or touch, and I’m passionate about helping people find balance in their lives and relax. My approach to developing a spa experience was inspired by my enthusiasm for wellbeing, to make guests feel at ease, empowered, and invigorated.
After graduating, I attended an institute for massage and bodywork therapy, where I was exposed to a wide array of techniques.
- You won the 25under25 Awards in 2023. Can you describe your journey to receiving this recognition and how it impacted your career?
Winning the 25under25 Awards was an incredible journey for me. It all started with my passion for caregiving and my dedication to learning new skills in that field. I poured my heart into my work, constantly seeking opportunities to improve and make a difference in people’s lives. When I received the recognition, it was a game-changer for my career. It opened doors to new opportunities, allowed me to connect with like-minded individuals, and boosted my confidence in my abilities. Overall, it had a significant impact on my career, and I’m truly grateful for the experience.
- As a young entrepreneur in the massage therapy industry, what unique approaches or strategies have you implemented to differentiate yourself and attract clients?
I’ve found that offering personalized and tailored massage experiences helps me stand out. I take the time to understand each client’s specific needs and preferences, and I customize my techniques accordingly.
We offer a wide range of options to cater to different preferences. Whether you’re looking for a deep tissue massage, a rejuvenating facial, or a holistic therapy, we have something for everyone. Our goal is to provide a personalized and enjoyable experience that meets the unique needs of each individual.
Additionally, I focus on creating a calming and welcoming atmosphere during the sessions to enhance the overall experience. These unique approaches have helped me attract and retain clients.
- As more people seek out complete wellness services, how do you see your business evolving in the future? And what actions are you taking to keep up in a highly competitive market?
I see my business evolving by expanding the range of wellness services I offer. I want to provide a holistic approach to well-being, incorporating not just massage therapy but also other complementary services like meditation, gymnastics, and maybe even yoga. By diversifying my offerings, I can cater to a wider range of client needs and stay competitive in the market. To keep up with the competition, I’m constantly learning and staying updated on the latest trends and techniques in the wellness industry. I also make sure to actively engage with my clients, seeking their feedback and continuously improving my services. It’s all about staying adaptable and providing the best experience possible!
- What advice would you give to aspiring entrepreneurs, particularly those interested in massage therapy or wellness services?
If you’re interested in starting a business in massage therapy or wellness services, my advice would be to focus on three key things: passion, education, and networking. First, make sure you have a genuine passion for helping others and providing a positive impact on their well-being. Second, invest in your education and skills by enrolling in reputable training programs and obtaining the necessary certifications. This will not only enhance your expertise but also build trust with potential clients.
