Description: Michael Sunmoni is a final-year physiotherapy student at the College of Medicine, University of Lagos. He is the founder of SafeMom, a health-tech company focused on connecting healthcare professionals to pregnant women in need of their services and providing them with post-natal maternal health kits. He is a Fellow of United People Global (Class of 2023), the Young African Leaders Initiative (YALI Cohort 44), the Clinton Global Initiative (2023), the Bridge Program (Class of 2021), the Millennium Fellowship (Class of 2021), the Savvy Fellowship, and the Youth in Development Fellowship (Impact Toolbox). He has an Advanced Diploma in Business Administration from Tekedia Institute. In June 2024, his startup came 2nd runner up at the Management Students Association - Student Entrepreneurship Program. In May 2024, his startup was ranked “Number 11” in BITE 2.0 by Oladele Fajemirokun Foundation. In December 2023, his startup came second-runner up at the Third Ambassador Walter Carrington Business Pitch Competition for Student Entrepreneurs. In November 2023, his startup was awarded the first prize as the winner of the College of Medicine and Pharmaceutical Sciences Student Association Interdepartmental Pitch Competition. In November 2022, his startup was selected as one of the top 10 winners of the Community Impact Challenge by the234project. He is an Alumnus of Poise Graduate Finishing Academy, Unilag-Jean Monnet Module (EU-Africa Connect), Mckinsey Forward, Google Hustle Academy Bootcamp, Lagos Innovates Idea Hub, FATE Foundation Aspiring Entrepreneurs Program and Dataville Research LLC.
