Description: Barakah Oyinlomo Hassan is the founder of TheOyin Labels, a production company manufacturing eco-friendly tote bags and branded merchandise for businesses, individuals, and organizations across Nigeria. She started at 19 after teaching herself tote-bag making from YouTube during a five-year wait for university admission. What began as a small hustle in 2020 grew into a structured business by 2022, serving clients locally and selling thousands of products focused on reducing plastic waste and providing affordable, locally made alternatives to single-use bags. Barakah has won multiple grants and recognition, including the Flourish Africa, the ASF Foundation, and funding from the Lagos State Government, presented by the Governor. She is currently a 400-level student of Industrial Relations and Personnel Management at the University of Ilorin and holds an MBA from the International School of Management, Lagos. Through The Oyin Labels, she is proving that young Nigerians can build profitable businesses that solve real problems, create jobs, and that quality merchandise can be made in Nigeria—affordable, reliable, and accessible to brands of all sizes.
