Description: Itegboje Daniel is a documentary filmmaker and medical student passionate about addressing social issues and capturing real-life stories that inspire change. His films have achieved over 25 film festival selections, 15 nominations, 4 awards, and 5 special screenings across 12 countries and 4 continents, including the United States, France, India, Ghana, and Nigeria. His latest project was the only Nigerian film selected to compete in the Oscar-qualifying short category at the 45th Durban International Film Festival and also earned an AMVCA nomination for best documentary. Daniel is a finalist for the 2025 $100,000 Chegg Global Student Prize. He has been sponsored twice by the French Embassy in Nigeria to attend international documentary forums and by Sony for the Sony Future Filmmaker Awards in Los Angeles. A Story Mi Documentary Film Fellow and Global Arts in Medicine Fellow, he co-founded 3WM Productions, a media company redefining African storytelling. Through 3WM, he has completed projects for organizations such as the International Organization for Migration (UN), UKaid, Sony, and state governments in Nigeria. Alongside filmmaking, Daniel continues his medical studies, merging art and science to highlight global health issues and drive social impact.
